Meet Mako! If shy dogs are your thing, then Mako is ready to wiggle her way into your heart. This sweetie is a 2-year-old white Shepherd mix who has come such a long way since arriving at Labs and More last summer. Mako is a shy girl who was likely mistreated in the past, but she is working on building her confidence in her foster home. Mako is looking for a patient adopter who has the time and experience to help her become the best dog she can be. She is crate trained and sleeps quietly through the night in her crate. She loves mealtime and is a great eater. Mako’s leash skills are improving as she gains more confidence day by day. Her favorite time of the day is when she hears you grabbing the leashes for her twice daily walks. She enjoys snuggling on the bed and couch and finds comfort in being up high, and her forever family will be one that also lets her up on furniture. Loud noises and sudden movements still make her nervous, so as of now Mako would do well in a home with older and/or respectful children. She would also be a great fit for a retired person or an older couple who lives a quieter life. Mako initially needs help getting into the car, but once she's in, she rides quietly and comfortably on the back seat. She is snuggly and loves her scratches, doesn’t mind being brushed, and she even did well getting her nails trimmed! Mako will need a patient family committed to helping her continue to grow her confidence. We are excited to see this girl blossom and help her find her forever home. If you are interested in meeting Mako, your first step is to fill out an adoption application on our website!

This information is as up to date and accurate as possible for the dog in their current environment. All dogs and puppies will need time and training to adjust to their new surroundings and learn the rules of their new home. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, the first step is completing the adoption application, available with our adoption process on our website at www.labsandmore.org. Your adoption includes the spay or neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and other services provided while in our care. The safety and health of our puppies is priority one so we only allow approved applicants to meet and handle puppies. Please understand everything we do is for the dogs and conducted by our kind and generous volunteers. We rely solely on donations and we do not profit from a dog's adoption. Labs and More is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates on donations and time dedicated to this cause by volunteers. Your adoption will save the life of future dogs in need. Labs and More makes no guarantees regarding the behavior, breed, or age of the dogs in our care. Although we strive to provide necessary medical care to dogs in our care, we  cannot predict future or current medical needs whether they were symptomatic or not at the time of adoption.
