This gentle girl is Jalena! She is a black Lab mix, maybe wig hound or Dane, with nice long legs and matching long ears. who is around 8 years old. The perfect age as she is done with those crazy puppy years, but is still playful, friendly, loving, gets along with dogs and people, and is all around wonderful. Jalena is a sweet, mellow lady who loves to just be close to you. She's about 50 pounds and is working on putting on some healthy weight in her foster home. Her coat is shiny and soft, with ears that just call out for strokes. Jalena is fostered with other dogs and does well with them. At 8 years young, this beauty has plenty of years of love ahead of her and can't wait to share them with a loving family! She is friendly and enjoys meeting new people, mostly because you just can't help but compliment her! Jalena is quiet and respectful in her foster home, both to the other dogs and the ducks in the backyard. She gets excited for walks but is also content laying on her dog bed. She enjoys head pets and ear rubs and will nudge your arm to get more. We test Jalena with a non-reactive cat and found her to be too interested. She wanted to play, but maybe too much. Probably best no kitties for Jalena. She is house trained but prefers not being in a crate, has great house manners, and enjoys snoozing in one of her foster mom's dog beds while she is gone from the house. She is quiet and never barks. She is the all around perfect dog! If you're interested in meeting Jalena, your first step is completing an adoption application on our website.
