This gorgeous girl is as sweet as she is beautiful! Mia Girl is a purebred black Labrador Retriever and is around 2 years old. She has a super soft, velvety black coat and the most stunning amber eyes. Mia Girl recently had a medical emergency and her previous family could not pay for surgery so they dropped her off at a shelter, hoping they could save her. Thankfully, Labs and More quickly swooped in and rescued this sweet girl and got her the surgery she needed. She is now on the mend in a foster home and expected to make a full recovery. Mia Girl is as kind and loving as they come. She is gentle and affectionate and just wants to be loved and cherished, and boy does she deserve it. Mia loves people but is a bit of a scaredy-cat. She will greet new people very cautiously with a quick kiss and a wagging tail. One quick move though and she will scurry away. Once this girl trusts you though, she will happily make herself at home (all 85 lbs. of her) in your lap and won't leave your side. As Mia is exposed to more and more people, she is gaining confidence and is working through her fears. Mia is very dog friendly and plays very nicely despite her size. She may be getting her first taste of being inside a home, but is doing great and quickly learning the ropes from her four-legged foster brother. She is house-trained with doggie door access to the back yard and sleeps quietly through the night in her crate. She can also be crated for up to 5 hours during the day but will put up a fuss for the first 10-15 minutes before settling down. Although Mia loves her foster brother, we think she would do just fine as an only dog if her person or family is home more often than not. Mia girl is a medium to low energy girl with a funny personality. She is a bit of a thief and will mischievously steal things you are using when you aren't looking and take them to her bed. Luckily she is past the chewing stage and isn't interested in eating them! Like most Labs, this girl is smart and very food motivated. She is looking for a family that will gently and patiently continue her training and confidence building so she can be the best girl she can be. If you are interested in giving this precious girl a second chance at a forever home, your first step is to submit an online adoption application on our website today.

This information is as up to date and accurate as possible for the dog in its current environment. All dogs and puppies will need time and training to adjust to their new surroundings and to learn the rules of their new home. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, the first step is to complete the Adoption Form on our website at www.labsandmore.org and take some time to review our adoption process. Your adoption includes the spay or neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and other services provided while in our care. The safety and health of our puppies is priority one, so we only allow approved applicants to meet and handle puppies. Please understand everything we do is for the dogs and conducted by our kind and generous volunteers. We rely solely on donations, and we do not profit from a dog's adoption. Labs and More is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates on donations and time dedicated to this cause by volunteers. Your adoption will save the life of future dogs in need. Labs and More makes no guarantees regarding the behavior, breed, or age of the dogs in our care. Although we strive to provide necessary medical care to dogs in our care, we cannot predict future or current medical needs whether they were symptomatic or not at the time of adoption.
