When beauty meets happy pup enthusiasm, you have met your new best buddy. Our girl Tandy is a beautiful caramel and cream Whippet and Shepherd mix, but some rescue dogs like Tandy can be a mix of many breeds so that is our best guess. Tandy is around 11 months old, weighs about 35 lbs and still has lots of puppy energy and growing to do. She rides well in the car and will love going on adventures with you, hiking, running, playing, shes ready. She is house trained and will ask to go outside to go potty. She knows how to use a dog door. Tandy still in that learning older puppy stage, so she will benefit with positive reinforcement and setting boundaries in the home while becoming the best pup she can be. She is crate trained, and is happy to settle down in her crate with a bone or stuffed Kong. Tandy enjoys playing with toys and chasing rabbits out of the yard. She would do best in a home without cats because she wants to chase them. Tandy is very smart and treat motivated. She knows sit and down for treats and is working on her recall. She is also still working on her leash manners because sometimes she gets extra excited to go on walks and just wants to sniff everything! Tandy gets along well with her foster dog sister and plays with her a lot but would also be fine by herself in a forever home as long as she gets plenty of mental and physical exercise. She likes to wrestle and due to her puppy enthusiasm, she may be a bit much for some dogs. Tandy is a happy, bouncing ball of energy and loves to be the center of attention. Tandy is looking for a family that has the time, patience and love to help her grow to be the best dog she will be. She will need training and plenty of exercise to channel her young teenager puppy energy in positive ways. Tandy met a nonreactive cat at an adoption event and showed no interest in the cat. With time, training and proper introductions, Tandy may be able to live with a cat. If you are interested in meeting Tandy, submit your adoption application for this cutie today!
