Meet Caramel! This adorable girl is as sweet as her name! Caramel is a Collie and Belgian Shepherd Malinois mix. She is around 1.5 years old, and weighs in at about 40 pounds. Caramel was initially a bit shy, but she is absolutely blossoming in her loving and experienced foster home. Caramel's foster mom gives her glowing reviews, and says that Caramel is a wonderful, mellow girl. Caramel is friendly and enjoys meeting the children and adults in her neighborhood. Caramel also lives with children in her foster home, and does very well with them, so patient and calm. Caramel is crate trained, but because she is so mellow, her foster family has been able to leave her uncrated with no problems. Caramel is housetrained and will wait until she is outside to do her business. She is easygoing in the house, and this well-behaved, respectful girl won't jump on the furniture. Sweet Caramel definitely has an energetic side though once she gets outdoors. She loves a good walk outside, and is very curious and loves to sniff and smell on her walks. She is working on leash walking with her foster mom, and is making great strides. She pulls just a bit when she is busy smelling, but listens and takes direction well when you direct her back. At night, Caramel sleeps soundly on a dog bed in her foster parents' room, and stays there all night. Caramel is very treat-motivated and already knows some basic commands. Caramel is looking for a loving family to call her own. If you would like to meet Caramel, your first step would be to fill out an application on our website.
