This beautiful girl is Quilt! Quilt is a 1 year old Lab mix, maybe with Pointer or Heeler, something svelte and fast with a short coat. She came to Labs and More with 9 puppies, but her parenting days are over and she can't wait to find a family of her own. Quilt is a sweet cuddle bug with the people she knows and loves but is shy and cautious with new people. She is not a dog that falls in love with newcomers at first sight, and will need a kind and patient family where all members of the family will continue to help her build confidence and work on training and socialization. Once she forms a bond with you, she gets very attached and loves to stick close. She gets along great with other dogs and is playful with her foster dog sibling. She learns a lot from the confident dog in her foster home and we think she would benefit and do best in a home with a confident dog she can learn from and keep her company. Loud noises and activity can be a little much for her so for now, Quilt will need a home with no children or children over 10 years old.

One smart cookie, Quilt has worked hard to learn some basic commands like heel, sit, down and stay. She is crate trained and house trained in her current foster home and is looking for a family that will give her structure and alone time every day so no negative separation habits develop. Right now, Quilt doesn't like to be left alone for even a short time and will need a family ready to help her learn it's ok to be separate from her people. Quilt is a polite and gentle girl, even with treats. She is learning to walk on leash and not get over excited when she sees other dogs because she wants to say hi. She likes to play with her people and has learned how to play fetch! Her favorite thing besides being with her people is snoozing in the sun with a toy or prowling around the yard for lizards. If you are interested in meeting Quilt, please submit an adoption application on our website. If you are a previous Labs and More adopter or already been approved with a coach, please reach out to your adoption coach for the next steps.

This information is as up to date and accurate as possible for the dog in its current environment. All dogs and puppies will need time and training to adjust to their new surroundings and to learn the rules of their new home. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, the first step is to complete the Adoption Form on our website at www.labsandmore.org and take some time to review our adoption process. Your adoption includes the spay or neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and other services provided while in our care. The safety and health of our puppies is priority one, so we only allow approved applicants to meet and handle puppies. Please understand everything we do is for the dogs and conducted by our kind and generous volunteers. We rely solely on donations, and we do not profit from a dog's adoption. Labs and More is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates on donations and time dedicated to this cause by volunteers. Your adoption will save the life of future dogs in need. Labs and More makes no guarantees regarding the behavior, breed, or age of the dogs in our care. Although we strive to provide necessary medical care to dogs in our care, we cannot predict future or current medical needs whether they were symptomatic or not at the time of adoption.
