Looking for a new best buddy to lounge around with? Meet Jessie! She is around 2 years old and we think she is a Lab mix but she definitely has a few other breeds mixed in her to give her that brindle coat- maybe Boxer or Shepherd. This sweet mama came in with her nearly 2 month old pups who have since been adopted. Jessie is friendly and sweet, wanting to be wherever her people are. Jessie has spent some time with our professional trainer and has some nice manners. She's a laid back girl who can be a bit aloof- she wants to be near you, but prefers to just hang out. One walk a day should be plenty of exercise for this gal. Because she likes to have her space, she would prefer a home with no other dogs and without any children under 12. Jessie can be a bit reserved and takes her time warming up to you but then she is affectionate and sweet. She sleeps through the night and is house trained in her foster home with access to the yard. She walks well on leash and enjoys her daily strolls around the neighborhood. Her ideal home has a yard and a family where someone is home more often than not. She is a super smart girl who knows her basic commands but she also can get into mischief and knows how to open doors; she will need a secure home and yard. While most of her time is spent lounging, when her playful side comes out, she loves to play with anything - catch, chase and tug of war. No kitties for this gal- she is far too interested in chasing small critters to happily live with a cat in her home. If you're interested in meeting Jessie, your first step is completing an adoption application on our website. If you've adopted from us before or are already approved to adopt, reach out to your adoption coach for next steps.

This information is as up to date and accurate as possible for the dog in its current environment. All dogs and puppies will need time and training to adjust to their new surroundings and to learn the rules of their new home. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, the first step is to complete the Adoption Form on our website at www.labsandmore.org and take some time to review our adoption process. Your adoption includes the spay or neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and other services provided while in our care. The safety and health of our puppies is priority one, so we only allow approved applicants to meet and handle puppies. Please understand everything we do is for the dogs and conducted by our kind and generous volunteers. We rely solely on donations, and we do not profit from a dog's adoption. Labs and More is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates on donations and time dedicated to this cause by volunteers. Your adoption will save the life of future dogs in need. Labs and More makes no guarantees regarding the behavior, breed, or age of the dogs in our care. Although we strive to provide necessary medical care to dogs in our care, we cannot predict future or current medical needs whether they were symptomatic or not at the time of adoption.
