Meet Oatmeal! She is about 3 years old and we think she is a mix of many breeds, but perhaps there’s some Lab and Shepherd in her, and possibly Husky. She has very unique markings and adorable ears that stick up. Oatmeal came to Labs and More pregnant and has spent the last few weeks being an excellent mom to her puppies. Now her pups are close to 2 months old and Oatmeal is ready to put parenthood behind her permanently.

Oatmeal has settled in wonderfully to her foster home. She gets along well with the resident dog and greets new dogs with tail wags. Once she’s had a chance to sniff everyone out, she gets a little playful! She recently met a cat at the vet's office and timidly sniffed him, so she'd likely live harmoniously with cats, given the proper introductions. Oatmeal already knows the commands Sit, Shake, and Down. She walks very politely on a leash, following right at your side. She is also house trained in her current foster home and signals by standing by the back door. Oatmeal is an absolute sweetheart who just wants to be loved. She'll let you pet her all day but will also curl up on the couch or her dog bed so you can get some work done. She loves playing with toys and tends to be a bit of a hoarder, taking one at a time to her dog bed until there’s a nice pile. She even dragged the dog toy basket to her bed once! Whether you’re home or out and about, Oatmeal will quietly stay in her crate, it just takes a treat to get her in. She’s earning more and more trust and probably won’t need to be crated for much longer! She gets the run of the house at night and chooses to snooze on the sofa or in the bedroom. If you are interested in meeting Oatmeal, please submit an adoption application on our website. If you are a previous Labs and More adopter or have already been approved and assigned an adoption coach, please reach out to your adoption coach for the next steps.

This information is as up to date and accurate as possible for the dog in its current environment. All dogs and puppies will need time and training to adjust to their new surroundings and to learn the rules of their new home. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, the first step is to complete the Adoption Form on our website at www.labsandmore.org and take some time to review our adoption process. Your adoption includes the spay or neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and other services provided while in our care. The safety and health of our puppies is priority one, so we only allow approved applicants to meet and handle puppies. Please understand everything we do is for the dogs and conducted by our kind and generous volunteers. We rely solely on donations, and we do not profit from a dog's adoption. Labs and More is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates on donations and time dedicated to this cause by volunteers. Your adoption will save the life of future dogs in need. Labs and More makes no guarantees regarding the behavior, breed, or age of the dogs in our care. Although we strive to provide necessary medical care to dogs in our care, we cannot predict future or current medical needs whether they were symptomatic or not at the time of adoption.
