Meet Halson! He is about 1 year old and is a chocolate Lab mix with maybe some Pointer as well. Halston came to Labs and More with a fractured leg that unfortunately we could not save. He spent the last few weeks adjusting to life on three legs and is now ready for his forever home. In spite of his rough beginnings. Halson is a happy boy whose tail never stops wagging. He isn't slowed down at all by missing a leg and there is nothing a 4 legged dog can do that Halston can't. Although he is quite content to lounge in bed and cuddle with you all day, when it's time to play, he is ready to run, fetch, hike and play with other dogs. He doesn't mind being your running buddy but if you don't feel like going out one day, he is okay with that, too.

Halston is always excited to meet new people and does a wiggly, puppy dance. He loves to follow his people around and likes attention and pets. He hasn't been around children too much but in those times that he has, he has been gentle and easygoing. Halston is crate trained and house trained in his foster home. He is fostered with two other dogs, one a puppy and one a senior dog, and gets along well with them. He is refining his leash skills and is always on the lookout for squirrels and birds to chase after. He is working on his basic commands as well and knows "sit," "off," and "come here."

Halston is a versatile boy eager to match the home of his humans. He would be fine living in a condo or apartment with proper exercise and would be fine with or without other dogs in his forever home. This boy is a dream dog! If you're interested in meeting and possibly adopting Halston when he is ready, your first step is completing an adoption application on our website. Processing time for applications is about 3 weeks. If you've adopted from us before or are already approved to adopt, reach out to your adoption coach for next steps.

This information is as up to date and accurate as possible for the dog in its current environment. All dogs and puppies will need time and training to adjust to their new surroundings and to learn the rules of their new home. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, the first step is to complete the Adoption Form on our website at www.labsandmore.org and take some time to review our adoption process. Your adoption includes the spay or neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and other services provided while in our care. The safety and health of our puppies is priority one, so we only allow approved applicants to meet and handle puppies. Please understand everything we do is for the dogs and conducted by our kind and generous volunteers. We rely solely on donations, and we do not profit from a dog's adoption. Labs and More is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates on donations and time dedicated to this cause by volunteers. Your adoption will save the life of future dogs in need. Labs and More makes no guarantees regarding the behavior, breed, or age of the dogs in our care. Although we strive to provide necessary medical care to dogs in our care, we cannot predict future or current medical needs whether they were symptomatic or not at the time of adoption.
