Petra is a lovely girl and perfect for a family looking for a fun mix of Beagle and Labrador together in one package! This 1.5 year old pup looks like a pocket sized black Labrador Retriever with a touch of Beagle sass. Petra is fostered with several other dogs and has does well with them. She can be a little sassy on leash to other dogs in big groups but it is something she is working on. However, her Beagle characteristics make her fast to use her nose to search out small creatures and chase them so probably no cats for her. She likes her family around more often than not so would do wonderful in a home with people coming and going. She is easy to walk and loves to get out for her daily trip around the neighborhood. Petra is both crate and house trained and has good house manners. She does like to snuggle by your side on the sofa at night to take in her favorite Alaska Wild episode. She is still young and eager to learn more commands and tips from her new family. She does well with kindness and consistency and would love a calmer and easy going home environment. She would be fine as a second dog with the proper introductions and could also be the only dog in the home. If you are looking for a cuddle bug with velvety soft fur to snuggle back in...then Petra just might be your next best friend. If you are interested in meeting dear Petra, your first step is submit an online adoption application.
