Meet Karl! This gentle boy is a Cattle Dog mix possibly with Greyhound. He has big eyes, brindle legs and a bushy tail. We think he is around 4 years old. Karl came from Mexico where he lived in a shelter for 3 years. He was very shy and did not want to approach people. Now he is in a loving foster home where he is learning trust and kindness from humans and his foster dog siblings. He is not a snuggly guy that comes running in for cuddles, preferring to approach you on his own terms, but he does like when you scratch his ears and he likes settling down in whatever room his person is in. He gets along well with other dogs once he has met them and feels comfortable. He follows his alpha foster dog sister and gains confidence from her. He loves to play with other dogs and would love a dog sibling in his forever home. Karl is a little too interested in kitties and we think he would do best in a home without any cats. He is house trained when he can be let into a yard every few hours and is crate trained. His crate is his safe spot. Karl has learned to walk on leash and does very well with a harness on. He enjoys his daily walks. He plays with toys in his foster home and likes to gather them all around him then shred them to pieces. Karl is still learning what it is like to be a family dog and to be loved on, but check back here to follow his progress. He has already come a long way. We think he would do best in a home that has owned dogs before and is familiar with shy dogs. If you are interested in Karl, submit your adoption application for this special boy today on our website.

This information is as up to date and accurate as possible for the dog in its current environment. All dogs and puppies will need time and training to adjust to their new surroundings and to learn the rules of their new home. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, the first step is to complete the Adoption Form on our website at www.labsandmore.org and take some time to review our adoption process. Your adoption includes the spay or neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and other services provided while in our care. The safety and health of our puppies is priority one, so we only allow approved applicants to meet and handle puppies. Please understand everything we do is for the dogs and conducted by our kind and generous volunteers. We rely solely on donations, and we do not profit from a dog's adoption. Labs and More is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates on donations and time dedicated to this cause by volunteers. Your adoption will save the life of future dogs in need. Labs and More makes no guarantees regarding the behavior, breed, or age of the dogs in our care. Although we strive to provide necessary medical care to dogs in our care, we cannot predict future or current medical needs whether they were symptomatic or not at the time of adoption.
