For those of you who love loyal and smart dogs, Sonoma is the best of both. She is in the 1-2 year old range and is a Belgian Shepherd Malinois mix. She is a wonderful size at about 45lbs making her easy to control and handle and even easier to have snuggle on your lap! Sonoma loves her people and will show you with hugs, kisses, laying by your feet and hanging out near you. When visitors come to the house she is their best friend as soon as they are in your home. She will bark when someone comes to the door but she is otherwise quiet at home. She is house trained in her current foster home. Sonoma loves to snoop around in the yard looking for critters to chase and catch. She would love a family who will interact with her by taking her on walks, to the beach, hiking, camping or just playing in the yard. She walks well on leash and enjoys her daily walks. Sonoma is eager to learn and training is easy with her as she is smart and food motivated. Her herding dog tendencies make her a little too interested in chasing kitties so she will need a home without cats. She has a playful personality and is great with the other dogs in her foster home. After having fun in the backyard during playtime, she is happy to relax inside afterwards. She can be crated for up to 6 hours if needed. Sonoma is such a joy to foster and everyone who comes to her foster home to visit falls in love with this friendly and confident girl. If you are interested in Sonoma, your first step is to submit an adoption application on our website.

This information is as up to date and accurate as possible for the dog in its current environment. All dogs and puppies will need time and training to adjust to their new surroundings and to learn the rules of their new home. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, the first step is to complete the Adoption Form on our website at www.labsandmore.org and take some time to review our adoption process. Your adoption includes the spay or neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and other services provided while in our care. The safety and health of our puppies is priority one, so we only allow approved applicants to meet and handle puppies. Please understand everything we do is for the dogs and conducted by our kind and generous volunteers. We rely solely on donations, and we do not profit from a dog's adoption. Labs and More is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates on donations and time dedicated to this cause by volunteers. Your adoption will save the life of future dogs in need. Labs and More makes no guarantees regarding the behavior, breed, or age of the dogs in our care. Although we strive to provide necessary medical care to dogs in our care, we cannot predict future or current medical needs whether they were symptomatic or not at the time of adoption.
