This sweet, gentle boy is Ben. We think he is about 1 year old and we believe he is a Spaniel and Shepherd mix. He is a sweet dog that loves to be loved on- he will happily lean into you, roll on his back for belly rubs, and eagerly accept all the pets and attention you want to give. He also makes an excellent buddy for outings- breweries, restaurants, coffee shops, this guy just curls up quietly and is happy to go with you, even ignoring rowdy kids and dogs nearby!

For such a young guy he's on the mellower side, but he does like to play with toys and run around with other dogs. Ben's foster mom reports he seems to have been in a home before and recognizes some of the comforts of home- like the sound of plates in the kitchen. He seems to be house trained and is familiar with a dog door, and he sleeps quietly in his crate at night. He is eager to learn and likes treats, which he takes very gently, but is picky about his food. Ben walks nicely on leash and seems to know sit, but is still working on learning everything else including his name! Ben is also still learning the difference between his toys and shoes, but he responds quickly to gentle correction. Ben is a gentle dog and took a few days to start to get comfortable in his foster home, although he did bond to his foster mom quickly, so he's looking for a forever home who will give him the time to settle in and get to know you before expecting his playful spirit to come out. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting Ben, then fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website today! We recommend completing the questionnaire and connecting with an adoption coach before looking for a dog or puppy you'd like to adopt. If you're already approved to adopt or if you've adopted from Labs and More before, connect with your adoption coach for the next steps.

Your interest in adopting a rescued dog or puppy from Labs and More Rescue is appreciated! Please find our adoption information at www.labsandmore.org. Your adoption donation provides funding for Labs and More, a nonprofit organization which is supported solely by Volunteers and funded by donations. Good news is your adoption donation can be considered tax deductible. So much care is provided to your new dog prior to the adoption, including: spay and neuter, microchip, veterinarian visit(s), vaccinations, and other medical care as needed. Many of the dogs we rescue require extensive surgeries and care prior to adoption. Please understand we are unable to predict future behavior or medical needs of your adopted dog. We provide no guarantees regarding behavior, breed, or age of the dogs. Thank you for rescuing.
